City of Rialto Street Overlay and Reconstruction Project
The City of Rialto is undertaking an extensive pavement rehabilitation to improve ride quality on both major arterials and residential roads. Advanced Civil Technologies is leading this effort to deliver constructable, community-sensitive improvements.
The City of Rialto is proposing rehabilitation work for many of its major arterials and local roads, which are experiencing varying degrees of detriment. Numerous streets are in need of a pavement overlay, while others are displaying significant cracking and require a full section replacement. Additionally, constructability is a key issue for this project, as limited funds are available to implement the rehabilitation.
The project will rehabilitate pavement in both residential areas and commercial districts, requiring construction staging that minimizes impacts to all parties.
Advanced Civil Technologies has led the delivery of the PS&E for pavement rehabilitation efforts throughout the city. Field verifications have been conducted to determine whether an overlay or full section replacement is appropriate for each street in the project. These verifications have also determined which curb ramps in the project area require ADA compliant upgrades. Our staff has been responsible for providing project management as well as preparing roadway, signing and striping, construction staging, and ADA curb ramp plans. Additionally, we have facilitated QA/QC, outreach coordination, and construction support services.
Improvements are being implemented to both major arterials and residential roads, and key issues include maintaining business access as well as minimizing impacts to residents. Advanced Civil Technologies has worked to understand business/community needs, allowing us to develop community-sensitive staging plans.
