Asilomar Boulevard Stabilization Project PS&E

Advanced Civil Technologies is supporting the delivery of structural improvements to Asilomar Boulevard.

Asilomar Boulevard is a residential road in Pacific Palisades that travels parallel to the top of the active Asilomar Landslide. To enhance the structural integrity of the landslide and prevent further movements under Asilomar Boulevard, a series of subterraneous Cement Deep Soil Mixed columns are proposed. These columns will be constructed to depths of up to 120 feet utilizing a specialized drill rig that will mix subsurface materials with cement grout to form the columns. Upon completion, the columns will support a 600-foot length of Asilomar Boulevard between Almar Avenue and Wynola Street.

Advanced Civil Technologies is supporting the project by providing QA/QC services and leading the development and coordination efforts for obtaining the Coastal Development Permits. The permit preparation involves coordinating with both the California Coastal Commission and the Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, who must each provide a Coastal Development Permit through their respective coastal programs. Our team has worked closely with both agencies to ensure both permit applications are completed correctly and will be processed with minimal need for revisions.
